Rocklin, California — The majority of the ballots have been counted for the 2022 General Election and results show Gilliard Blanning and Associates was a part of some of the biggest victories for Republicans in California. The elections will shape future California Republicans over the years to come. Below are some of the highlights.

Representative Doug LaMalfa Wins Big in New Congressional District

North State Representative Doug LaMalfa won his election over well-funded Democrat Max Steiner by more than 24.2%.

Assemblyman Kevin Kiley Wins 3rd Congressional District

Assemblyman Kevin Kiley proved to be the 218th Republican victory giving the Republicans enough votes to take control of the next Congress. Most of the remaining ballots are from Kiley’s home county of Placer ensuring a statement victory in the election.

Janet Nguyen Returns to the California Senate in District 36

One of California’s fiercest Republican campaigners has earned the right to represent the 36th Senate District as voters overwhelmingly supported Janet Nguyen by more than 13%. Nguyen was previously the first female Vietnamese-American ever to be elected to the State Senate when she was elected in 2018.

Kelly Seyarto Wins 32nd Senate District

Assemblyman Kelly Seyarto is currently leading the 32nd Senate District with more than 62% of the vote. The district spans four counties in California’s Inland Empire.

Joe Patterson Wins more than 60% of the vote in 5th Assembly District

Rising Republican star, Joe Patterson, is poised to replace Assemblyman Kevin Kiley in the suburban 5th Assembly District after a statement victory over his Republican opponent.

Diane Dixon Wins 72nd Assembly District

After a narrow loss to Assemblywoman Cottie Petrie-Norris in 2020, Diane Dixon took a commanding lead over Democrat Judie Mancuso to a double-digit victory in the 72nd Assembly District.

Board of Equalization Member Ted Gaines Wins Reelection

Voters of the First Board of Equalization District returned Ted Gaines to advocate on behalf of taxpayers once again with more than 55%.

LaMalfa faced a well-funded opponent who spent an unprecedented amount, nearly $2.5 million in the 2020 cycle. In the last three years his opponent has spent over $3.6 million, almost entirely on negative attacks.

“After years of relentless attack ads and false accusations that were amplified by millions of dollars it’s very gratifying to have my numbers actually go up, and to be re-elected by such a strong margin. The voters were able to see through it all and rallied around the common sense message of limited government, individual freedom and rebuilding the North State. I’m grateful for the continued confidence and support,” concluded Congressman LaMalfa.

Assembly Republican Leader Marie Waldron commented on Diane Dixon’s announcement stating, “Diane Dixon is a close friend and built an impressive campaign raising $1 million in 2020. I am very excited that she is running again in 2022 as Diane is the type of candidate that gives us the best chance of gaining seats in the legislature in consecutive election cycles. She has the team and infrastructure already built to hit the ground running on her way to victory in 2022.”

Additionally, Dixon announced receiving the endorsement of the overlapping Orange County Supervisor and Congresswoman-Elect, Michelle Steel, “Diane Dixon is the best candidate for the State Assembly and she has my full support,” said Steel. “It is important to have a like-minded individual at the state level that I can count on to work on the issues that matter to our community. I know Diane Dixon is that candidate and  I urge everyone to support Diane Dixon for State Assembly.”

In the November 3rd Presidential Election Diane Dixon received more than 131,000 votes and narrowly missed defeating well-funded Democrat Cottie Petrie-Norris by 2,584 votes.
